Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data: such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits, collected through server logs and privacy-focused analytics.

Information from third parties and public sources
We may receive information about founders, operators, and companies from public sources, referrals, and business networking platforms in the course of evaluating investment opportunities and maintaining our network.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries, evaluate pitches, and communicate with you;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;
- To manage our deal flow, network, and investor relationships;
- To send updates or newsletters where you have requested them or where otherwise permitted;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and abuse;
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, audit, and contractual obligations; and
- To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) your consent; (b) our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business, evaluating opportunities, and securing the Site (balanced against your rights); (c) the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to a contract; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies necessary for the Site to function and to understand aggregate usage. We use privacy-focused analytics that are designed to measure traffic without building advertising profiles of you. Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. The Site also loads web fonts from a third-party provider, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering those fonts.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service providers: vendors who process data on our behalf, such as form-processing, hosting, content delivery, email, and analytics providers, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Professional advisors: our lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers where reasonably necessary.
- Legal and safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mentors Fund, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in the event of insolvency.
- With your consent or at your direction.
7. Individuals featured on the Site
The Site displays professional information about founders, operators, mentors, and portfolio companies (for example, names, titles, company affiliations, photographs, and links to public profiles). If you are featured and would like your information updated or removed, email oc@mentors.fund and we will address your request in accordance with applicable law.
8. Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites and platforms (for example, portfolio company sites, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, and our investment platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy notices.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to maintain our relationship with you and our network, and to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements, after which we delete or de-identify it.
10. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your privacy rights
EEA/UK (GDPR)
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data; to object to processing; to data portability; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
Subject to applicable law, California residents may have the right to know and access the personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined); and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests.
Other jurisdictions
Residents of other U.S. states and countries may have similar rights under applicable law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at oc@mentors.fund. We will verify your request as required by law and respond within the timeframes it prescribes. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
12. “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting “Do Not Track,” we do not currently respond to it. We will honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as GPC) to the extent required by applicable law.
13. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Marketing communications
If you receive marketing emails from us, you may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We may still send you non-marketing, transactional communications.
15. Data security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16. Changes to this Policy
